SCNETSTUDIO Special Report on worm Infected Emails from Spoofed Email Address of SCNETSTUDIO
Original Issue Date: 27th February 2004
Update Date: 9 May 2004
Lately we have been receiving feedbacks from Internet users saying that they are receiving the worm virus infected emails coming from SCNETSTUDIO's email address which is <firstname.lastname@example.org and other email account with the domain @SCNETSTUDIO>.
FYI, the worm virus has the capability to spoof email addresses found in the infected machine's Address Book. The worm uses any of the email addresses found in the address book and use that address to send out infected emails with a copy of itself to others.
Thus, we advise users who receive worm infected emails coming from SCNETSTUDIO's Email address <email@example.com and other email account with the domain @SCNETSTUDIO.com> please ignore it and do not misunderstand that SCNETSTUDIO's machine has been infected with the worm virus.
If we send you a email,we will include a signature at the bottom of the mail and the name of the department. The sender name will always be Seok Chern and is not our email address. But usually,we won't simply send a email to you unless you send us a email.
If you received a AUTORESPONE mail from us,that means we have received your email in our inbox. If you didn't send us any email, please be caution that maybe your email address also being spoofed.**We don't provide any help for you if your email address is being spoofed. So don't ask any help from us.
